Precast Storm Shelters
The following accessories are included at no extra charge: Double continuous handrail on steps for added safety (on slope front models), Gas operated door closer, (2) 6” vents. After we have installed your storm shelter, you may find creative ways to enhance the appearance of your storm shelter. Landscape timbers, railroad ties and stone are used in interesting ways. Our storm shelters are designed and constructed with your protection in mind. They are reinforced with fiber mesh as well as steel rebar, and they are poured with a minimum of 5,000 psi concrete; a normal driveway has 3000-4000 psi concrete.
Site Evaluations
We can usually rely on google map’s view and you as the homeowner to understand your property without having to do a site eval. If you are unsure of a spot, then we can come out and do a site eval to make sure both parties are on the same page. Site evals do have a fee from $250 to $500 depending on which area you are in. In the event you do choose me to install. I will waive the site eval fee. If I cannot install your shelter and we have exhausted all possibilities, then you will not be charged for the site eval.
Installation Day
A very important and exciting day. We try to educate customers on the installation process because we want them to understand the steps that must be taken. This shelter weighs around 15,000 lbs. On the day of installation, the ground will need to be dry. Our equipment plus shelter will weigh around 32,000 lbs.
