This is our sloped front unit. It holds up to 8 people comfortably with 36 square feet of useable area. It comes with a double handrail on its metal steps; gas operated door closer, (2) 4" vents. For installation the shelter will need to be a minimum of 10’ of the house and a max of 50’. The door opens from the outside that way it can have as much surface area for the door to rest against the door frame. This will prevent anything from trying to punch through the door. The door is secured with two locking pins that slide into the concrete. The door also has a way to lock it from the outside.
This is our above grade storm vault. It is fully customizable for any size or design. If you have a crazy idea and you want it to come to life, then please feel free to contact us. Why is it called a storm vault? This unit can protect you from storms and possible intruders in your house. This can be constructed with 6” and up to 12” thick concrete walls. A Storm Vault built according to FEMA approved plans can provide protection against winds up to 250 mph or projectiles traveling 100 mph or more. Best Placement? Master closet is the most popular option but anywhere you can think we can put it there.
We are a manufacture of this shelter. If you would like to you can pick up the shelter and install yourself. The shelter weighs around 15,500 pounds. The bottom half weighs 11,000 and the top half weighs 4500 pounds. It would roughly take around a 30,000 lbs. excavator to install. Or you can hire a crane truck to come out.
